Finally some good news in the world of tournaments, The Ed McCormick invitational tournament in Erie PA is BACK ON for 2013.
Tournament sponsor Ed McCormick and Erie Budweiser has decided to keep the tournament going after all. Despite the issues with teams and conflicting tournaments on the same weekend, the tournament is full go for 2013. Quite simply, Ed just didn't want to let the game die here in Erie and is willing to keep it going, even at a smaller scale for 2013. HOPEFULLY some better communication can be done for 2014 to prevent conflicts.
Jarvis Travelers, NY Gremlins, PA Power and NY Swashbucklers have all committed. One or 2 other teams are hopefully going to join the fold very soon giving us a 5-6 team field of VERY strong teams.
Jay Hart is returning as a working UIC as some ISC umpires will be once again using Erie to prepare for the ISC tournament.
I hope those who had Erie on their calendar will once again circle the date and make the trek down.
